| I have not researched this at all (will do so soon) but can AGB Millis live among Heterometrus (longimanus ?) I want to consolidate some tanks and have a 160 gallon tank I made (now it is) for a Het colony and I want to tear down my 20 gallon long millipede tank and put them in with the Hets. The care seems nearly identical... the lows° for the Hets will be near the highs° and humidity for both is in the 80% and both are tropical save for one hails from Africa and the other from Asia (but they aren't prejudice)
So any thoughts on this anyone. |

| My 2 cents. Your het's won't eat them and they spend most of the time burrowed anyways but you have to remember that some of the excretions of certain millies are harmful. I'm not sure about the AGB but I rather be safe than sorry. I must admit I've been tempted to put my millies with my scorps before too but decided against it. Ultimatly you can take the risk and report what happens. -Eddy p.s. Also millies will tear up your tank and you'll end up with more poop than substrate. | |

| Their poop becomes the substrate. It's like nice compost.
IIRC, A. gigas secretes a form of benzoquinone, which is a powerful oxidizer. Not sure how the hets would feel about it, but they'd only get it if they disturbed the millipedes. I'm pretty sure it's better than cyanide.

| i don't know how that will turn out
But i do keep my AGB with 3 of my southern skinks for 3 weeks now and sofar there isn't any problems at all. Thheonly reason why i have done this was, at the time i didn't have any type of substrate left. So i plqaced them in will myy AGB until i gotten me more sub. Since then, they all were fine , so i thought to myself, why the hell not to keep them as they were.

| I've had AGBs with Chinese Water Dragons (Physignathus cocincinus) without a problem. Right now my one (I just lost one a few days ago) is with 3 species of cockraoch (E distanti, G portentosa, and B dubia) without incident. My hissers like to hiss at them when accidently crawl across eachother. On AB I heard of someone keeping them with Pinktoe tarantulas (A avicularia) just fine.
I saw go for it, let us know how it turns out.

| So I'll go for it and update this thread with any pertinate inforation as to cohabitation of the two.
First I need to tear down the tank and set it up tropical (as it was set for an elaborate flat rock colony, but they left and went off to Oregon)
Cheers |

| i think you mabye could do that, if the mills are to big for the hets then i dont think they would touch them.....i would be concerned about the liquid that a.gigas produces though. | |
