Wish I could catch scorps outside my house lol, do you have a lot around??
I'm still relatively new to the whole scorp thing so afraid I can't tell you what it is although I would have assumed it was a desert species, this type of scorp can be hard to id sometimes coz there are a lot of the "yellow" kind that look quite similar, like some quite dangerous species can be mistaken for Scorpio maurus a non dangerous species.
I would say put it on whatever your local ground substrate is for now, or go for a mixture of sand and soil, I dunno wait for some more experienced people to come along and post there are a lot of extremely knowledgeable people on here I've certainly learnt a lot from them!!
Enjoy your new scorp, I would be careful though until you get a positive id just in case it is a "hot". Species
