Parabuthus Liosoma

One of my favorite thick-tail: Parabuthus Liosoma (African Black-Tipped Scorpion)

But I'd like to point it out to you in case you aren't aware, the correct spelling of this species is P. leiosoma

if thats gravid there has to be over 25 babies in there!

if that was gravid and that big you would clearly see embryos through the sides of it
so i think that one is just fatness haha

From my observations of the body, I'm pretty sure it's not gravid, but this will be good info either way.

GS my friend, you have some of the fattest little scorpions I've ever seen. LOL! The last 3 segments of his legs are completely submerged in the sand under the weight of his bulk.

It's a beauty though. You always take such good photos as well.

yeah dude what camera are you using , when ever i try n do close ups of my scorps they just go blurry

I've read in scorpion files that the name has been changed back to Liosoma.. maybe there is a latest change to it pse let me know

She's pretty actively at night but not so much in the day. I guess she's lazy to drag her body around when someone is looking.. Just like my myself.. FAT = BULKY , not elegant

Thanks mate, i'm using iPhone4. Close up shots is still acceptable under sufficient lighting

an iphone dammm there gd quality for a phone camera

Really? I never really know what to put..and often switch between liosoma and leiosoma...where do you read that liosoma is correct?

All I know is that lisoma was definitely not correct
