| Basically just looking round as normal, looked in my emps tank where i have a male and female subadult living together (bill and ted) and i only take bill out since ted tried to sting me, but anyway taking bill out on my hand noticed he had a slight limp on his front leg, holding it in towards him sort of bent but can still walk on it, he can still move fast and normal and it doesent seem to affect him at all really but can tell somethings wrong. All im really looking for is an answer to when he molts will it be good as new again? just trying to clarify, heres some pics for you to see, thanks alot guys. | |

| asked a friend and shes said that whilst molts can fix the problem, limbs on scorpions do not regenerate like they do with tarantulas, also she said that the leg doesent look broken cause he still stands on it just at abit of a weird angle, she refered to it as a type of twisted ankle injury | |

| I agree with your friend, it more than likely is minor from what you described. | |

| He is walking on it whilst holding it in the air and after walking bit he puts it on the floor and pushes himself back up then contines walking holding it again and keeps doing that over and over, I hope somuch it is minor as I can't help but feel responsible for it. | |

as I can't help but feel responsible for it. Best not disturb him and let him heal.To much stress can kill, especially if injured.

| Update: his back appears to have a hole on it asif been stung by the other and this might sound silly but hisjoints in one of his legs started leaking, not sure if that's normal but I've never witnessed it, he didn't appearto like it though, was flicking his leg trying to get it off, I'll upload a pic of the hole tomorrow | |

He may have been stung at the store or prior but as long as thevhole is not bleeding it will heal but might leave a scar. The leaking leg is more of a concern! If the leaking(bleeding) stopped then there is nothing to worry about. If it does not stop then take him carefully out and place him in a new enclosure that is dry with paper towels as substrate.Carefully watch him to be sure he is in deed bleeding put a small amount of talcum powder or even flour on the wound to stop the bleeding ,hopefully that is not the case.

It is kind of clear,is he still bleeding? The hole will heal,I would not worry unless it starts bleeding from the hole .

| It was a clear water like liquid, it was coming out from his leg joint, not the hole on his back, and I cannot tell I am at work but will look when home, I will seperate them asap and give him sometime on his own | |

on his back, and I cannot tell I am at work but will look when home, I will seperate them asap and give him sometime on his own Are there 2? If so they must have fought and need to be separated when you get home. Let us know if the joint is still bleeding. Like I said the hole will heal but bleeding limbs need to be looked after and the bleeding stopped.

| They have been together for about 2 years happily no problems, and he is the more dominant of the 2 so it's strange, I'm hoping I got it wrong and was just excess water or something but yeah I will let you know asap what is going on, phone batterys about to die so I'll update when I get home/tomorrow

I had a group of Emps for a few years that lived happilly together in the same burrow until they killed each other(all eventually died from the fighting ). Group living is dangerous and fighting is to be expected. Even if it had bled as long as the bleeding stopped and you seperated them, all should be okay.

| Okay I'm back home now, things seem better, but I'm confused, his legs are fine so I'm guessing it has either stopped bleeding or was excess water, the hole in his back I think is just a scratch on closer inspection, he is definatly still the more dominant out of the 2, she backs off every time he gives a dig at her, also I think I'm gonna have to find a pic of how dark the sting goes red when fully adult, cause looking at mine there Both pretty dark and the female is getting abit tubby and not moving much, she isn't aggressive towards him at all, I'll have another look when I wake up in a few hours | |
