Subject: Forest scorpions...which are most active? 9/23/2010, 5:17 pm
Was wondering if a noticeable difference can be found in the following Heterometrus species: Laoticus, Longimanus, Petersii, Spinifer, and Cavimanus. Does one stand out, or do all display basically the same activity level?
Thanks.

Pretty sure they are all the same. But if i had to choose one, id say Cavimanus because they are an aggressive genus.

In terms of activity levels, it depends enitrely on the individual specimen. You could get a really active cavimanus for example or you could get one that's a pet hole and is really docile & shy - same thing goes for other scorps. But generally, they're about the same. If you had H.arizonensis in there for example then that would generally stand out amongst the rest as being more active.
