| I was just about to change the substrate in my emp's tank cause ive noticed some mold forming, but when i picked up the log that he (apparently she now) was under I got the shock/surprise of my life! Scorplings! I was completely unaware that it was a she or that she was gravid. Ive had this scorp for quite a few months now, and she's been all by herself. She appears to have 1 clinging to her back and another clinging to her underside. After she moved i saw another laying in the substrate that at first i thought was dead but then started to move. I swear i just saw her a few days ago and there were no scorplings in sight. So now im a little freaked out. i dont know how old they may be so if anyone can take a guess from the pic id appreciate it. You can see the 1 on her back and then the legs of the 1 clinging to her underside at her legs by the glass. help please! | |

| Sweet!
Well you have to leave her completely alone. Don't stress her at all during this birthing process.

| Thanks everyone. my husband's extremely excited about the new babies...he's already lined up a home for at least 1. just hope everything goes well. So, from what I read this is what to do: forget i have a scorp & leave them alone for a week or so. once the babies molt to 2i and come off mom's back, separate them into individual bowls w/ substrate and water. feed small injured or dead crickets. how old do they need to be before i could give them away? Im thinking id like to keep 1 Im still a scorp noob for sure. we bought Nero (guess that name doesn't fit now) as an adult from a store and we just let her be for the most part... feeding, watering, changing substrate when needed. | |

| Either:
1) Keep with mum for rest of their lives without any separation 2) Keep babies communally but separate from mum only 3) Separate from mum and other babies so that they are all in individual containers.

| Update: So my mommy scorp only had 3 babies, and of those only 1 survived into 2i. Its separated into its own bowl now and Im praying that it's a strong 1 and sticks around. Now Im curious about how long till it molts to 3i, and how long it usually is between subsequent molts??? | |
