| Subject: Molting Question 5/14/2010, 3:20 pm | |
| I got 2 emps. Possibly 1 male 1 female, never confirmed but supposed to be. At 1st they fought but now they live together.
Been expecting one to molt for for a while. Today I wake up to see shells at the entrance to the burrow. Not a solid piece but a "face" a claw and a piece of the back with some legs. Claw is empty.
So when they moult are they supposed to come out and leave a whole piece behind or like this in pieces. I ve only seem one scorp today, male ( suspected molt ) usually hides inside for months, so i think he is doing that.
OR possibly he was eaten from the inside and she cleaned out the cave.
OR she ripped him apart ate him and cleaned out the cave.
Possibilities possible or? | |

| Often when mine have molted in the past, they will molt as one piece of exo, but as they then move aroud it sometimes gets broken up into pieces. So it sounds normal to me. | |

| If you're not sure if it's the remains of a meal or a molt, post up a pic. Molts are typically somewhat transparent, leftovers are usually quite opaque. | |
