| To be honest I'm surprised that you got a sub-adult because the pet stores don't normally know what they're talking about nor give you what you want, so that's good to hear. The thing that you may want to do if you are ever planning on adding another emperor would be to confirm it's sex. The pet store I'm assuming told you it was a male? but its always good to get a confirmation on here because as i mentioned earlier, the pet shops are often wrong. If, when you want to have it confirmed, just take a clear close-up pic if you can of the pectines (feather looking wing-like features under the scorpion) when it is in a plastic container or somewhere where you can get a clear shot. | |

| The guy at the store seemed to know a good bit about them. They told me if you run out of crickets you can feed them raw ground turkey, is that true? Oh, and I was looking at the pectines on the car ride back and it looked like an oval shape and long feathers, but it was hard to tell. Here's a couple of pics I got when he came out with the cricket: | |

| At first I thought definite male because it is very oval, but after looking at the other pictures I think I can see a "point" on the operculum indicating female. | |

| I checked before we left the place and could've sworn it was a male... I'm bummed... Oh and I'm not bummed because he is actually a she, it's because I thought I had gotten the gender right, and that I had already came up with a male name...

| My first female was called Odyssey. It means epic tale (pun and a play on words).
My male was also called Homer, as in Homer's Odyssey which is a tale in itself. | |

my 1st emperor is named Tenebre (which is Italian for darkness) my 2nd one is Lyca (short for lycan, i have an obsession with werewolves) (both females)
my C.Hentzi male and female the male is named Kadaj (which is short for Khadaj - Persian for incomplete - i shortened it) and also its my favorite character in Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and my female is named Erised - Desire backwards (i seen it in a harry potter book)

| hmmmm ok, yea thought it was a wad of soaked paper towels... but a wide water dish is preferable, as they like to soak sometimes... it also helps them get rid of parasites and debris... no rush... take it easy.... | |

| I've decided to name her Dusk. The way she shines in the moonlight is beautiful and the name just seems to fit. | |
