| Hey guys, my emp is housed in a 16'' by 8'' tank (i belive that's 5 gallons). From what I've read, it seems like its enough, since he's underground all the time anyways, but I'm just wondering.
The reason I ask is because I am getting a pacman frog on Friday, and I got his enclosure ready and decided to throw the scorpion in there to see how he acts. This is a 20 gallon (2ft by 1 ft). He seemed much more active. It just seems like he doesnt get to really walk around in the 5 gallons. 2 steps and he's at the end climbing up against the glass...
anyways, Am I being too much of a hippie or should I get him a bigger tank?

| 5 gallons is fine for a single emp. Upgrade to the larger size if you decide to go for a community. | |

| What are the dimensions?
5 gallons could be any dimensions, they could differ from another 5 gallon tank but still be able to hold 5 gallons.

| I would think that a 5 gal with 1 scorpion would be t o small because i like to give mine room, but 2 in a 5 gal is too small. If the 2 your trying to house together are sub adults, then it should be fine cause they are small but if they are full fledged adults, you may not want to squeeze them in there. | |

| Most people who associate their tanks with "gallons" suggest 5 gallons per scorp. | |

| I have a huge plexi glass cage. it was a bagel box from a local grocery store so its huge. It must be like 4 feet across and about 2.5 feet width. Its wicked tall too. I have 2 scorps in there together lol. but im gonna get my female and get her gravid and then seperate the cage for her and the babies. | |

| To Phan_X, I'd say a 5-gallon is too small for a pair of adult emps. | |
