| Put her in the tank, bump up the humidity, make sure that it is nice and warm 27 - 30 celcius will do. Then leave her for a few days and hope for signs of improvement.
It could be that she was overly stressed and died but try the method above first just to make sure.
You don't want to throw out a scorp that looks dead but may not be dead if that makes sense. | |

| if the exoskelton was soft maybe it was preparing for a moult if its still juvenile, do what binksyboy3 said and see what happens | |

| yeah let him settle for a week or too before u do anythin like rearrange the tank etc or handleing him (although its not advised that u handle ur scorps cause of possible reactions if u get stung and stress caused etc) And just before a Mod shouts at u, cause this is a forum with under 18s as members its against the rules to swear, not that it bothers me personally (i swear like u wouldnt beleive, cant help it im scottish ) but u might get in trouble from the moderators if it happens a lot, so just a heads up | |

| I guess you're lucky I wasn't in for a week. Anywho, if your scorp was soft, it sounds like it tried to molt and failed. I don't know from the available information if it was caused by you or by other sources (I've known them to die during a molt for no apparent reason and remain soft), but that stuff just happens sometimes in this hobby. Just pick up and move on. As for your new scorp, you don't need to handle them (as has been said). Some will stay very edgy, though, so don't EXPECT that he'll calm down, but there's a chance he will eventually. (Or "he" is an adult female and edgy because gravid.) | |
