| I had a 4i p.imperator death yesterday, which i cannot explain.Could you please help me find the cause, because i am very dissapointed.... Substrate: Soil, without chemicals, that i use with all my other scorpions, without any problem so far Humidity: 80+% Temps: room temperature, about 17 C The specimen was in premolt, very stretched, suffered from no injury or fall. Thanks in advance for your help. | |

| Was it wild caught? If so, the "premolt" visual could've been parasites or something. Or maybe it just had a real bad molt.
Sorry for your loss. | |

| could have been the temperature 17c is tolerable for short periods but for extended periods it could affect the scorps healthuse a heat mat in futre they usually keep it at a steady 27-30c which is much better | |

| i doubt it would kill it though? just make it sluggish. are you sure there are no parasites at all? nothing in the water dish? do you feed it wild caught food? | |

| the temperature might have killed it if it was kept at about 17 for a long time because of a slower metabolism and consider the fact that in west africa it can get to 35 easily during the day and stays warm at night aswell, i dunno thats the best i can think of | |

| it was fed only b.dubias i am raising, and crickets.. It was really fat, and had eaten a week ago, so it could not have starved to death. Also, no strange bumps or strange bugs. | |

| perhass jus old age then either that or the temperature is the only thing i can think of, i had a Pandinus Imperator die on me the other week there from old age, its common among wild caught specimens | |

| I doubt the temp killed it. Scorps just die sometimes for no apparent reason. | |
