C.Hentzi photos

I just got them this morning and they are awesome looking. This is only one of them the other was hiding and I didn't want to make him come out. I think I have a male and female because this one is rather portly compared to the other.

Yeah, the one photographed is definitely female. If your other one has a longer tail by comparison, you've got a pair.

Im not sure Mordax I was going off chela being "rounder" for males and also the bodies being longer. I will try and get some photos of that one as well maybe even both together.

Great addition bro. These are one of my fav scorpions out there.
easiest way to tell is by their tail, the males are longer and more slender in each segment compared to the female.
These are one of the easiest scorpions to keep.

Yeah, definitely a male on the left. He's skinnier, but the more definite and obvious feature (in most cases) is the longer tail.

can you test emperors using this comparison?

No, just Centruroides and a few other genera (such as Hadogenes).

haha thank you, I checked on them today and the female is HUGE like twice the size she is in that photo if shes gravid could she plump like that in one day?
