couple questions

Can anyone answer these questions for me?

1. ld50? I know this refers to the venom but not much else.

2. I see lists of scorpions written like this:

(example) 3.2.4 P. Imperator.

what does the 3.2.4 mean

3. Are newborn scorpions called scorplins or 1i?

Heh the LD50 value is the amout of venom you need before there is a 50% chance of getting killed

out of memoery i belive that the LD50 of a LQ is 0.24mg/kg
and iam abit on the heavy side so 98kg
0.24 x 98 kg = 23,52mg of venom thats needed for me to have a 50% chance of getting killed

1.2.3 is a way of listing the sexes and how many of each sex..

the first digit is allways male, the secound one is female and last is unsexed..

so 1.2.3 means 1 male, 2 female, 3 unsexed

newborn scorpions are called scorplings AND they are 1st instar.
