I picked up a longimanus at the show yesterday, and when i got home though the substrate in its container had shuffled round a fair amount, it was very limp and slow. I thought maybe it just needed warming up.
After putting them in their new home with fresh substrate and heat, this morning i checked them and one seems fine while the others tail was out flat and legs are quite curled in. I've prodded him a bit and it just flicks its tail but apart from that theres no other movement.

I have them in damp substrate but not as damp as my emps.

what do you think it could be? The dirt shuffled or the journey home???

Oh.

:-/

Doubt it was the shuffling on the way home, in any case. I once received a young emperor who was kind of "slowing down" when I got him and he died a day or two later.
