- there is a pretty high fatality rate for Emp scorplings, particularly if they are kept together. I started off with a brood of 16 - 17, by 3i only about 6 left, and now I only have to left, recently lost another 2 for unknown reasons. but the 2 I have left are super fit, super healthy, and aggro as hell. : D
Thats crazy...just about all my babies have molted to 3I and I havent lost one yet...(I dont think anyway) I never got an exact count I always count between 18 and 20.Ive left them all with mom and she takes wonderful care of them.I would recomend to anyone I talk to,to leave the babies as they are with the mother. She cleans out the burrow, comes out and gets food...Ive even watched her come out and grab a baby out side the burrow by her chela and carry him to the back of the burrow and let him go.... Im simply amazed everytime I watch her with the babies

- young scorpions don't really need alot of space, as long as they have enough substrate to make a hearty burrow they'll be fine
Pint glass it is then As for keepin them with mother,no can do its a communal tank with another female and a male, What ill maybe do is keep them togethetr in the same box but itll be one of those big 5 litre boxes from the spider shop them make their housing bigger as they get bigger, like separate them into 2 separate 5 litre boxes etc, if it doesnt work and they all die when my other female has a brood ill keep them separate, its just cause i dont have the room to house 5 babies on their own right now so it would be easier to keep them together. Heres the 5 litre tubs im on about, http://www.thespidershop.co.uk/insect/product_info.php?products_id=1304 then ill attach a 3x4 inch heat mat on the side. EDIT: Btw how long does it usually take for emperors to reach adulthood

| Abosloution, I need to say I do regret taking them away.. Should've just let mum do her job. but eventually they have to go.. I was supernoobish back then and "thought it would be the best thing to do"
And It differs how long in takes to reach adulthood. over a year anyway.
I think it's about 7 moults, but I thikk there may be less for males.
