| I bought my P. Cavin about a week ago it's just a baby about 1-2 months and for the last two days it's been burrowed and has not come out at all if it doesn't come out tomorrow night it will have been three days. Does anyone know why? Is it going to molt soon? does it not like his habitat? | |

| My H.Spin comes out every night around 11 and walks around his habitat and seems to reach for the top a lot and goes in and out of his water dish. He seems to like to bring dirt in it and I let him does that mean he's not pleased with his surroundings. | |

| When you say P. Cavin...do you mean Pandinus Cavimanus? Just wondering...because I just ordered a pandinus cf. miliataris and am so confused as to what I am getting | |

Even if it's months straight. As for scorps that go on nightly wanderings, it's probably one of three things: 1) New surroundings (this is pretty common with newly acquired scorpions that haven't "settled in" yet) 2) Looking for prey (but don't panic if it doesn't eat right away when prey is offered) 3) Lookin' for lovin' :sex:

| Checking every few days is just going to bother him and possibly stress him. I haven't checked on my gigantic female Heterometrus in a couple of months.
Just throw in prey periodically and check maybe once a week or so. You can also try blacklighting late at night -- that's when you're most likely to catch a scorpion that does leave its burrow.

| That makes sense. He's like toppled over his fake tree (which was buried a bit ) and his water dish is shoved over a bit with an unused hole under it lol It looks untidy but I leave it the way he puts it. | |
