| I have two emperor scorpions. Male= Very docile, my faourite. Female= gravid, very aggressive. they are always fighting. I'm going to get another tank that is 3 ft whereas my current one is 2ft. I was planning to keep the mum and the babies in the 3ft tank, and keep my male in the 2ft tank. I would put the babies into the 3ft tank and put the male and female together but i'm worried that they will start fighting again and i don't want my male to be kiled. | |

| normally the females temperament will revert back to how it was when she was not pregnant, so they probably wont start fighting again, but then again she could just be mean | |

| Pretty much what Flibble said. If she does remain aggro, then you could just keep them together for mating purposes and separate again, but she'll probably calm down. | |

| When the babies are out of the tank and in their own and when you want to put the pair back together. EMPTY the tank she and the babies were in. Totally clean it out. New cocofibre, put the hides in a new place, put the water bowl in a new place and put them both in at the same time! Fighting/sparring WILL happen but you will know if its going too far. I guess they will fight for a little while and then been ok with each other | |

| Connie, why replace the cocofiber? I've never had a problem recycling it as long as it was reasonably clean. | |

| you shouldn't need to clean out the tank.. I never clean any of the substrate from my tanks, there is no need. | |

| I dont clean clean often but if they have made burrows and im introducing someone else, I clean it all out but as the others have said you dont have to. its just what I would do if I had had a tank full of young with mum and wanted to take them from mum and to put a male back in. It depends how long you leave them with mum for...or how long I would have left MINE for with mum and then wanted to take them out and put a new adult scorpion back in | |
