Crying or Very sad I went in to check my scorps and my Heterometrus spp was dead. He was just laying there, no apparent reason why he died. Can anyone offer any insight?

I was keeping him as a rainforest species, gave him the proper humidity and things, so I can't think of anything.

If JUST the carapace and mesosoma were three inches, it was probably an adult. If so, it was most likely old age, and nothing that would put you at fault.
