| heres what both of the enclosures look like 75 watt day glo for basking on the wood hide usually in the daytime they are on top of it and under is a heat pad haha if you look closely you can see his little head poking out

| how hard is it to get an exotic animal permit in your area? looked it up and it appears all member of the the family reptilia are illegal, up to a $10,000 dollar fine. | |

| nah, these are in the subfamily Viperinae, whilst rattlesnakes are in the subfamily Crotalinae. the main thing that sets them appart (I belive) is that rattlesnakes posses heat-sensing pits whilst sidewinders do not. | |

| They have a rattle.

Edit: They're in the same subfamily as rattlers -- Viperinae is exclusively old-world. | |

| oops...I missed that link the first time...thanks...that was interesting. Now that is a snake I could get used to. Most snake heads are a bothersome shape for me...I love the horns and shape of the sidewinder's head. | |
