| I have a single adult male grandidieri now and will soon have a female as well. Would anyone care to suggest which substrate would be better for this species? I'm currently keeping mine on sand and have no problems but I also have some extra coco fiber. Which should I use? | |

I think the OP is using coco fibre mix with bark chips?

| I have 6 of them, and all they all seem to like coco fiber, slighlty humid, nearly dry. They all have molted in these condition without problems. | |

| Hmmm. I was told by my seller that desert sand would be best and that is currently what I have him on. He seems to be doing well with it. Is there any reason I shouldn't use it? I have coco fiber laying around too so it's not a big deal to switch. Thanks! | |

Check the For Sale threads on tarantulas.us/forums. Oasis Invertebrates has a new list up and has 2i & adults for sale but they are kinda pricey.

| i also have them for sale....on this site none the less. i know a good keeper that has been keeping and breeding them for years. he says use a mix of sand and dry humus. i keep them on sand mixed with peat. they should not be kept wet. they come from a very dry region in madagascar. they are an awsome species!! im glad to be working with them. here are mine. | |

| check the classifeds for the prices.
there is no information at this time regaurding gestation times. remember we are dealing with an animal that has only been imported twice so information is scarce.
