| This is REALLY starting to bug me. Most of you probably know that I was down to three of my original five B. jacksoni, since one of my mature females kicked the bucket this week. I was still waiting on my immature to molt, so I went to check on it tonight. I thought, "Hmm, looks kinda dry -- I'd better spritz you if you haven't molted yet." I glance under the hide and see an exuvium hanging, so I think "Yay, you finally molted!" Then I see it in the corner, limp and not moving. It molted fine, it just looks dead. Still pale. I spritzed it as a last-ditch hope, but I don't think it'll make it. GHAA!! Why does this keep happening to me? If it was too dry, how come the molt itself went fine? I just hope that my last female makes it through her pregnancy and has a healthy brood. As soon as those babies scatter she's going back in with my male. Sorry, I just needed to vent. | |

| You gotta remember that B.jacks molt very easily. Dont worry I had the same thing happen to me. Seem like they really need that humidity after the molt too. Try a false bottom set-up. Just in case. -Eddy | |

| There's a photo of my communal setup in the "post your setup" thread. This individual was in a small container with some dry cocofiber and a couple of hides.
This one might have gotten a bit too dry. It's just frustrating that I've had a lot of deaths recently and Lori's had a lot of "yay my T molted" moments recently (three last night alone).

| Well, here's a bit of a mixed-blessing update . . . That gravid female that I was putting all my hopes on? I checked on her this morning and she went and molted. She twitched at me when I looked, so I'm guessing she's ok. I'm glad that she's healthy and won't molt any more, but it just feels like she's blowing me a great big raspberry. I guess I didn't put her in with my male soon enough after her last molt. I'll get pics when I can. If she hardens soon enough I might be able to submit a picture to this month's photo contest. | |

| Man, since I saw these guys at the show, I've been craving some.
I hated them since Orange was my least favorite color. But they lean more towards the red wavelength and their fat tails please me. < Lolzzzz
