| I have 2 male gliders, one neutered the other not. The neutered one trims his nails on his own which is AMAZING! THe other... doesn't. There was an incident where his nails got too long and I had to cut him out of a pouch and tried to cut his nails. It was a terrible experience with lots of biting and I only got one foot done. He started to keep them down himself after that by scratching a huge branch in the cage but they've gotten really long again. He got one nail stuck in my shirt today and I want to try to do them again. He freaks out, even when I do the one foot out of a pouch approach and manages to bite me. I've trimmed every kind of animal nail from dogs to guinea pigs but never had an animal so slick they could get away so easily. Does anyone have any tips for me? | |

| Can you get him to fall asleep while you're holding him? That's what some people recommend for cats. | |

Maybe the old scorpion fridge trick. I usually try when they are asleep (during the day) but I have to seperate them to be able to get to one. And gliders do NOT like being separated from eachother. | |

| Are there any treats sugar gliders lick? If so put something on their belly... if they can reach? So they can lick it off. Its what I do for my Ferrets and you can imagine how they wriggle otherwise! | |

| Hmm I'll give that a try. My mom will be over on Thursday so I'm sure she'll be able to help me too. He trimmed them a bit himself on a branch I have but they still need to be shortened a bit. Thanks man. | |
