The downsizing has officially begun!
I sold my two
Androctonus mauritanicus and included my
A. amoreuxi to someone with a successful breeding program to the former. I used the empty 10-gallon that was housing their tanks to relocate my
Heterometrus longimanus juvenile community.
In the near future I'll likely be selling my
Pandinus cavimanus and my larger
Hadogenes paucidens specimens. Same with my
Vaejovis spinigerus -- Eddy can have the female if he wants, 'cause he
did win that contest after all
. (Eddy, you're also #1 for my male
Diplocentrus lindo since you have a female.)
There's a couple other "odds and ends" species I have that I don't really feel like keeping. I'm not sure if I'll keep my emps -- I like 'em, and they do fine in my apartment, but they're pretty much miniature versions of the
H. longimanus.
My tentative keep list:
Heterometrus longimanusUroctonus mordaxCentruroides vittatus (assuming her brood does well)
Tityus stigmerus (when Jared sends those)
That would mean I still have to get rid of, with the following caveats to potential buyers:
Centruroides hentzi <-- had a small brood that died, adult for at least one year
Centruroides margaritatus
Hadrurus arizonensis (probably keep for now)
Hottentotta judaicus <-- kept below developmental threshold, still 2I even though born in April or May
Paruroctonus boreus
Paruroctonus gracilior
Keep an eye in the classifieds, I guess.
