umm pretty much, you can tell that its stabbed you but it aint too painfull, but to be honest with E.Flavi i doubt we will have to worry too much, not really knwn to use venom plus it has weak venom anyway and then theres the fact that they are really really small about 33mm once fully grown

i agree camping would be best that way we can stay as close to them as possible, i think its best that we camp near them anyway that way if we forget anything or need to restock in something it wont be miles away lol

Well unless someone comes up with something i cant see anything about protection of E.Flavi. Lots of butterflies yes but no scorps

well iv found out most camp sites are around sheerness so more or less were we want to be, but even if it wasnt the island is only 9 miles long and 5 miles wide so we could do the full island in a couple of days lmao

I'll be getting some macro lenses at the end of the month, strongetst one will by x25 so looking forward to getting some scorpion close ups in the wild!

if your family doesnt let you go then dont worry too much once we get this first one out of the way we can arrange meets for ever year to do different things, such as pub ( 18 and over lol ) theme parks, camp meets, and whatever else people can think of.

thats true enough. Doesn't have to be a scorpion hunt everytime. We could do the scorpion hunt every few years so anyone who missed one can join in the fun of the next one.

Make sure to read my scorp hunting tips I'll post some more up there but if you don't find any immdietly dont get frustrated once you find ONE you start finding them all.

Trust me scorpion hunting is a bit tricky. You need to know they're niche or you'll just be wasting battery life. Then again you have the easy to find "under rock" scorpions.

yeah look at the pics on page one of this thread eddy that is exactly how they are in the wild, and the info me and lisa have found so far all says that they very rarely move and whn they do can usually be found a max of 2 meters away lol

Well take my word for it, vertical surface scorpions are a lot harder to find and catch. They know their cracks very well and will only be seen at night. You have to blacklight at different angles and find some way to corner them. If they are found on walls I expect you'll find them in cliff sides and possibly trees.

they are mainly found in the dock wall itself they hae not moved very far at all, they will be a lil difficult to grab as they are only 45mm maximum size, however its been found that even if they do leg it and disappear they come back to the same whole again, the guys that were studying them noted that they usually cam back to the same whole and females only left these wholes 8 times a year

Dont worry we wont dissapoint like i said if we dont find any im not leaving untill i do, i think its important that this species gets looked into a bit further and hopefully bred by us, it would be amazing to get them to a point where people see them regularly, especially as people who dont have a love for scorpions dont seem to know that we even have them here which i hate.

i hate the idea that we have such a beautiful lil species and yet most people dont even know it exists.
