| Ok, so after a few difficulties, I finally managed to get an Emp scorpion. Thing is, all day today he has been laying inside of his hideaway with his claws down and his tail curled up next to him. I assume he's sleeping, because he was very active the night before. Just he's been this way since about 11AM (it's 9PM right now) and I just hope he isn't sick or something. I actually just got him yesterday, and obviously I'm new to all this so I'm a tad nervous. The temp today has been in the low 90s, which makes me think he should be more active. He reacted when I accidentally dropped something on the cage lid; I figured I should point that out.
I think someone needs to make a chart of scorpion body language lol. | |

| Scorpions don't sleep, but they're nocturnal -- it's normal for them to wander around all night and do nothing during the day. I can tell yours is healthy when it reacted to an external stimulus (dropping something on the cage). Emps are especially known as "pet holes," which should be pretty self-explanatory. The only time you need to worry about a scorpion being sick is if they are sluggish (slow to respond) and lay with their tail straight out. (Walking around with the tail straight out just means it's going to the bathroom.) | |

| Heh, good. So what is he doing if he's laying there with his claws down and his tail curled up? Just lazing around? It looked like he was sleeping to me, so I assumed he was, lol. | |
