all my fruitflies in the colony died

What the hell?

What could have gone wrong??
ughgh 16 dollars wasted... Ima have to wait more then two weks to get new flies.

Good thing I own scorpions and not frogs who could die quickly of starvation.

I've had fruitflies from petco come pre-deadified. Where'd you get them?

Could they have dried out? Culture gone bad? Bloodline gone bad? How hot has it been where they're at (possibly left in sun)?

Why not make them yourself?? its not hard and its pretty cheap to do.. i can get you guys a caresheet if you feel like it..

I got the from online. Tehy wher efine for a week then today I went to feed my sling and they where all dead in place.

Oklay, so tehy did die, but they layed eggs and now I have maggots.

How long for them to pupate and turn into flies?It's been two days.

depends on species but usally 1 week or 2

When they hatch but a slice of banan down there and pure some water in to wet up the subrate.. that way you get more flies from it, they living longer and they are more healthy..
