I bought these two a few weeks ago and would love to know what kind of scorpion they are and possibly their gender. They were sold to me as Red Claws. One acts lazy and the other one (probably my favorite) acts really active and when I spook them the larger one(favorite) stands on top of the smaller one and acts like it is protecting it. But being a first time owner I am still wondering how often should I feed them and is it okay for them not to eat and just stay in their scrape when I check on them like really late at night? The aquarium is a 55 gallon and the readings are 80 degrees F and 70% humidity. Thanks!

Could you please post clearer pictures?

I can't even tell the genus from those.

They do appear to be P. cavimanus, yes.

I usually feed adults every 10-14 days. And yes, it's perfectly normal for them to refuse food and to spend most of their time in hiding.

The substrate looks a little dry from the pictures. I maintain humidity by pouring water straight on the substrate.
