how can you tell if it is adult?? or is there even a way to tell with this species?

and as for Sexing is it the same as P. Imperitor? (sorry if its spelled wrong)

The spelling is imperator. Smile

The best bet is size -- post a photo relative to some reference (ruler, quarter, etc.) and we can tell you. If it's a species where the adults have brown telsons then you can judge by telson color.

Oh, and yes, sexing is the same. (Keep in mind that with some of the larger Heterometrus spp., the pectine size isn't as good a reference as operculum shape, as a female H. longimanus can have pectines as large as a male P. imperator.)

well, since he doesnt know if adult or not means he not tried mating...so could be just full of food.
and since hets are agressive, not a good way to decide if a gravid female or not.
Or could be gravid from the wild...

well all the scorps i get from my local shop seem to be gravid and WC. lol, but yah as sooon as they get into a new enclosure there like blimps, my Flat rock is the same i wont know for a long time for her but does look it for sure lol, Anyone know how long Heterometrus spinifers are gravid for? is it just like an P.Imp, like 6 months?

For emperors it can range from nine to 18 months depending on conditions (food, temperature, etc.). I assume Heterometrus spp. are similar.

These guys telsons are nearly the same shade as the metasoma from 2I onwards so it's hard to tell if they're adult. But the ones I have bred have matured in about a year, so not too long.
