New Emperor Owner

This is the first pic I have of my (I assume) Emperor as that is what I was told. But looking round the site her claws are much smaller than other pics.

I would welcome your comments at this stage, I have put a thread up in the "welcome" section so there is a bit more info there about my set up.

It looks like an emperor to me.

As for it being close to a moult, it doesn't look like it. When a scorpion is nearly at the point of moulting to the next instar its mesosoma will balloon out making it look very fat.

Thanks Callum, so probably just stressed from moving and having a redecoration job done. I will keep a watch over her.

Hey jester welcome aboard!

So I have had her a week today now and she hasn't eaten a thing or drank for the last 3 nights at least just hidden down at the back under a piece of bark. I'm chuffed, had to remove the bark from the top of the hide but she has happily taken two crickets and munched them down. Im confident with my set up inside the terranium and much happier now she has eaten.
