HELP PLEASE. Egg sack.

hey

the pet store called me today and told me they got a rose hair tarantula in today and it had an egg sack with it

we don't know if it had it during shipping or the dealer put it in there

I have no clue how to hatch the eggs

what do I need to do so I don't loose them all ?

Try flashing a light thru the egg sac. You'll see silhouettes of slings if they are ready to go. Also observe the color of the egg sac if its purely white then the sac is kinda new and if it looks dry, dirty, cream/pale than usual white or kinda different in shape then it may also indicate the readiness of the slings to go out. If it is ready to go just prepare a deli cup with holes the size of pin-pricks with a moist paper towel on the bottom and make a small hole or incision thru the sac. There are videos on youtube on how to deal with egg sacs so that would explain much better than me just typing it

Well there is such thing as a phantom egg sac. My Selenocosmia samarae did that to me as well

so it wasn't an egg sack after all or it was an empty egg sack I don't know

but it was weird lol

Did you get confirm what it was? I'm intrigued as well

no possible cotton ball, sometimes breeders give the Ts a cotton ball to calm them down when they take there egg sack, and I think maybe it got shipped to the pet store with the cotton ball. that's my guess, but it looked real
