| Guys I'm having a problem with these damn fruit flies on my emp's hide. The hide is made out of bark. Everytime I spray my tank with water for humidity, these flies come out from the top of my hide. How do I sanitize this thing and stop these flies from being in my tank? Here's a picture of my tank and the hide. | |

| haha!. try pouring hot water over the hide to kill any eggs left. don't boil. a light scrubbing would help too. fruit flies are harmless anyways and may appear if they smell something fruity or woody in your tank especially your substrate

| Yes, fruit flies feed on decaying organic matter. They don't eat or lay eggs on scorpions but they can be very unpleasant visually | |
