Got a new big buddy:)

I got a Big Male P.imp! haha calling them that still makes me chuckle!
Was planing on breeding.
so i was thinking of a new name for my new male P.imp
well sence my female P.Imps name is Liberace(liberochi),
then what would liberochis boyfriends name be?????
so i did a google search and this guy dated the real Liberace

So on closer inspection my new big buddy turned out to be a lady:(

when i was at the pet shop today they got another P.Imp in and guess who bought it....

and when i brought it home i looked to see and its CLEARLY MALE wahoo!
there doing the shake thing, well him and my largest female! i think i remember reading about that on AB isn't that a sign of mating??? i cant remember?? i put the slate rock in just in case.

Liberochi on the other hand wont leave off the top of her burrow..??.. mabee shes just sleeping.

The shaking is called juddering, and yes, it's part of scorpion courtship. Post some pectine pics and we can confirm things.

oh im ok with the sexing my first scorp had babies so i know shes female and i looked at the big girls with my old female beside her and there pectienes are all exactly the same and the new guys spread right across his belly. and are HUGE!

I believe the term is "well-endowed" not huge... do try to be PC...

yeah the babies are really cool. they do some really funny stuff once they properly start to hunt. ive seen some fighting over cricket legs and stuff like that. its really funny. XD

Well then, keep breeding! You never know when CITES will cut us off.

cities? isn't that something to do with endangered animals?

it stands for Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, they do all sorts off stuff its a good thing really but makes things harder to get and more expensive cuz they do things such as stopping imports from the wild etc etc

And if they stop importation of emperors, then all of us who have "those boring black scorps" will have some incentive to breed.

im sure i read something saying they were either stopping it or putting some limits on it, i love my emps they may be common but they were my first scorp love.
