| I read somewhere on this forum recently, that when a scorpion is very close to moulting its chelicerae hang out of its mouth Would you say this is such an instance? | |

| Unfortunately she died last night. She was finally in the premoult position so i increased humidity but that did not seem to help
Need to figure out a way of ensuring they moult properly | |

| Sorry for your loss. I put up a write up on how I got mine to successfully molt. Maybe that will help you for next time. http://www.scorpion-forum.com/t10667-molting-care-for-h-arizonensis-and-setup-advice It all starts at the beginning, when you first make the enclosure before they go premolt. Gotta have plenty of burrowing room, humidity in the bottom layers of the substrate, but dry at the surface and high temps. The humidity in the bottom layers is crucial, as in nature they burrow down (sometimes 30 feet or so) to get to humidity. | |
