The updated count (surprisingly, after I got tired and couldn't separate anymore) is now 19 scorplings. i placed the mother back into her enclosure, and the remaining babies still climbed on, even after more than 24 hours separation. Pretty cool, she accepted them, too. I assumed the maternal drive would've been broken, however, they're acting like nothing happened. I'm just gonna wait for them to disperse on their own. I'm running out of containers lol I had to improvise and use a few plastic cups, cut in half.
