I'm assuming you are refering to a Pandinus sp. or Heterometrus sp. as common names are not the best. If you are going to get them from a pet store, that is most likey what they will be. Both are great scorpions. They do like to dig a lot and will often stay hidden in their burrows so don't get the idea you will see them a lot(unless you are nocturnal).

As for ypur question, mealworms can be used as feeders, but they are very fatty. Crickets also work too, but if you can get roaches that wouldbe the best. There are many online stores/people that sell them.

Lobster roaches are a great feeder. They can climb plastics, but using a container with slick sides and a sticky/slick surface near the top can stop them. Glass would be something they probably can't climb as they are bad climbers. If you still are worried about them getting out, lining tape around the top would stop them.

Heterometrus sp. are a good starter kind. Go get 'em!

How much you feed, the size of the food, and the numbers of the roches depend on different things. If you want to keep numbers low, you could keep the temperatures lower so they do not breed as quickly, or you could sell/trade them to get rid of them and aquire new scorpions.

How much you feed the scorpioon depends on size. If it is a subadult or adult, feeding weekly works best. If it is still a juvinile, feeding every 2-3 days is reccomended. The size of prey should not be larger than the scorpions body, not including the tail. That way you don't have to clean up as much leftovers. If you put in isopods, they will clean up for you.
