| Thanks, I lost one mid moult due to a lack of moisture i believe so until it hits 6i i am not too bothered about a bit of moisture. My hectors are at 4th instar at moment
Will use a stone/clay hide as you suggest for later stages. Thanks for the tip

| Jealous of the hectors good luck with them! Itd be nice to get those around in the states too! And yeah. I tend to water them at subadults once every two weeks. Just a couple drops if that. When approaching a molt, once every week, and if i catch them in.the act or post act, i will give them a little more to help them keep hydrated. | |

| Thanks ive got two pairs of adults off a friend. Theyre extremely sensitive as evident of all the setae on their metasoma. You get near them and the small breeze will make them take off. Theyre socialable in pairs like transvaalicus and other buthids. Waiting till i get a brood or two before i throw them all together like my transvaalicus are. | |

| Typically six. Four males and two females. The males will cohab together. Really awesome sight to see. | |

| You think mauritanicus would live ok in a small community? | |

From things ive read, yes, as adults of course. Ive seen pics of giant communities sharing hides. But take with a grain of salt, as i dont have firsthand experience to say so.
