| I wouldn't use them as feeders. Flat millipedes (Polydesmida spp.) produce a defensive secretion containing hydrogen cyanide and benzaldehyde. | |

| Thanks Shebean, and you too DesertHairyScorpion1. I looked at the article link you posted. Lots of great info. I know now I won't be using these guys as feeders. And their poisonous nature makes me realize at least to an extent why they're so numerous! I'm going to continue to make my little backyard expeditions and see what I can find.
