new slings! giving birh, right now.

my other female h. laoticus is giving birth, right this momemt! just one month ago one of them popped 19 babies and they are all alive :-)

One sure sign that you are keeping the scorpion correctly is them succesfully giving birth. Well done and Congrats!

thank you so much! :-) i havent had scorps for a year yet. but this is my second brood and i know i have two more gravid ones :-)

thank you :-) it came to be a small brood, 11 slings.

In my opinion, as long as it's five or more, it's worth to celebrate.
That's a good number to be able to raise up a pair within the group and maintain a steady supply for yourself.

Anyway, while raising the kids, the adult female might very well give you another new brood if she was mated again after her latest brood

any number of slings will make me happy! i got 16 from my first brood, they are in 3. instar now :-) i removed the new mother to a seperate tank, because i dont trust the male one bit! he is all over my two females. even when they sting him he doesnt get it.. so for the risk of him stressing her too much, i took the chance and rehoused her. so that there should only be stress that one time while the sling grow stronger.
