3 Emps, 10 Gallons?

Howdy all,
Will 3 emps fit in a ten gallon without tearing each other to Hell? As long as there are planty of hides and stuff like that?

It may be a bit of a squeeze. Some people argue that 1 Emp deserves 2.5 gallons and others say 1 Emp deserves a solid 5 gallons.

are they adults? they would prly be ok bit cramped maybe but im sure they would be fine..deffo if they are juvies...even when you have them in a bigger tank you find they all huddle together in one hide anyways lol

I wouldn't do it. I have 2 hets in a 8.5 gal and it's a squeeze. I wouldn't put 3 emp together in anything smaller than 18 gal...but that's just me

I agree with DolbyR. I'm no expert, but if I knew then, what I know now. I would have used a tank larger than 10gal for my two emps. 1 young male and a sub adult female. They seem to be getting along now but not in the beginning.

Thanks everyone for the input. I have decided to do no more than my two emps in a ten and the others down the road will be housed accordingly. I don't want to risk it.
