Parabuthus Transvaalicus Coolness Factor / Instar Question

As you guys might know already I recently got a fresh couple Pt's.
Now, I posted this.. not only to share their awesome looks but also as a question, which got me stumped.

I observed other Pt's having black stingers on adult specimen. I even caught my male (which is taken from the same region my female is) having a black telson/vesicle. Now my female is supposed to be adult (a bit smaller than the male) it has a bright red telson/stinger.

Is this female due for her last moult then or is she a freak of nature? She "looks" adult to me. She also refuses to mate... the female is around 13cm long, with the male close to 15cm (30% bigger than the Androctonus Australis of mine)..

If she is already in her final moult, I think it is cool to have a red stinger transvaalicus lol..

Still on my want list I'm afraid, so I can't be of help sir. I do enjoy the photographs of the couple next to one another. The sexual dimorphism is very apparent.

They dig a lot Street, so be prepared. I need to redecorate all the stuff in it dailey because they dug under, beside, through it... my water cups are always upside down with these.

I hope someone can tell me though as the difference in colour of the stinger is quite remarkable. The only explanation of her not wanting to mate and that difference is that she is not adult yet... but maybe someone here knows the answer.

Do juvenile ptrans have a red stinger? ANyone here got those?

Cheers, waiting anxiously for information. And if she does need to moult, for her moult since I want some 100 babies from her. Ptrans are not that easy to get around these parts and to me, though they are not as pretty as A. Bicolors, they make up for that in their macho behaviour, size and straight out brutal masculinity. If one would ever to get to an australis of mine (hope it never gets out), the andro is dead. Simple as that. They have power to spare.

All 4 of my P trans have a reddish coloration to their telson. I think its probably one of the many variations in color P trans can have since they seem to be somewhat polymorphic, but their differences are usually subtle. I wouldn't be able to tell you much about juvi p trans as i acquired mine close to or after their maturing instar. As far as pairing goes, give them time. The female sometimes tends to play coy "as women sometimes do ", but the male will eventually win her over. @ Streettrash: I just produced around 140 2i P trans recently from cb parents. I can't keep em all, maybe if you ask nicely I'll share "for a price "

One little question though, why does the male doesnt have this then? It is brownish-black, but the female really is blood red. ANyway, I want offspring of that one. Looks cool.

As far as the telson coloration goes, I think it just varies depending on the individual, but I don't think its a trait that can be isolated. My P trans scorplings are still pretty tiny. As far as taking care of them go, I'm only keeping a dozen or so for myself and the rest I'm putting out into the hobby for everyone else to enjoy "and maybe make a few bucks for my trouble while I'm at it "

And you should! People really wanting them thus taking care of them, will happily spend dollars for them.

As for the red telson, I hope she passes it on to siblings of her.
