I was curious if its ok to give my scorpion water from a normal tap? like from the kitchen sink? Ive also noticed that one the pedipalps, it looks to what i think is a calcium build up from the water and it has left behind little white covers on the claws. Not the entire claw but just parts that look like they have touched the water and dried on there.. Is there anything i should worry about?

That white stuff is probably scorpion poop.

I suggest using filtered water. I've read reports of peoples' whole colonies dying off for no apparent reason. One explanation they can come up with being they used unfiltered water. There is chlorine and possibly other chemicals other than H2O in tap. I'd wait for another opinion though.

I certainly second the suggestion to use filtered water at least. My pet Emperor Rosemary had died and it was very strange as temps and humidity levels were fine. Now that I've read your post, I remember that I have been using tap water from my lab to water her substrate (and her water dish), and the water was not safe for human consumption.

Rosemary could have died from something else but it's best to eliminate any variable that we can to prevent deaths.

But that being said though, I have been using filtered water and they still leave water stains on the sides of my Sterilite plastic containers and the massive chela of my Emps too. I do hope they aren't detrimental........worried about calcification effects.

we treat our water with king british safe guard solution. it makes hard metals safe and helps to get rid of chlorine etc. Yes it's for fish but it has the same desired results for making tap water safe.

Must admit from using water straight from the tap it has made a big difference.
