| Subject: Pandinus Cavimanus intestinal impaction? 1/18/2010, 2:49 pm | |
| HEy guys, got a problem, i bought a new Pandinus Cavimanus on friday and just noticeed that one of the tergites is at a wierd angle to rest of the plates and theres a bubble of her membrane jutting out from her flank, is this some kind of impaction, if so is there any way of fixing it?
Any help apppreciated!
Cheers.
- Craig
EDIT: if it is intestinal commpaction do you think giving her plenty of water available to drink that it would clear it? | |

| Sounds like an impaction. Unfortunately, that's about where knowledge on the subject seems to dry up. I would guess that if it's bubbling out as you say, it's more like a hernia and probably has a worse prognosis. | |

| It gets worse!! Ive been keepin her at my girlfriends house and she has kitttens....needless to say they managed to get into the box and tipped it all over the place, found the scorp in the death pose in the middle of the floor, but after hearing about connie's miracle of her scorplings comin back to life im keeping her in her box in a quiet wee corner, came home from work and the tail has lifted a wee bit and its stiff instead of just floppy liek this mornin, and i read that the setae and trichobothria fall off very easily after death so i gave them a rub and thye didnt fal out, so, and i might just be barking up the wrong tree but i reckon she was just startled from getting attacked and might be recovering,, ill keep an eye out. Oh and the bubble has went away and shrivelled up although her tergites are still at a wierd angle. I'll just have to wait and see eh | |
