i bought a bag of shredded bark chips, its almost as fine as dirt but its bark. is that bad? should i get something else? what is the best for my empsss???

never seen shredded bark chips...but I'd still recommend coco fiber.

you could use the chips but they dry out a lot quicker than coco fibre and you cant allow them to burrow in bark chips

yeah. i see they digg all the way down to the bottom of the cage in there burrow but never seen them cover them selves up with it. and it dries up about every hour or so. so i water it down all the time. they are allwayse in the burrow i think they pretty mutch have it made..lol. ok well i will have to try the coco can i just find it at a pet store? thnxxxx.

Yeah, coco fiber all the way. I've used bark in the past and it sucks. If you try to add water you just get puddles.
Most pet stores should carry it, usually in compressed bricks. Look for "eco-earth" and / or "bed-a-beast."
