New to this, but worried about my emperor

Alright so I'm fairly new to scorpions and owning one. Decided that they interested me and went out and bought one and all the affiliates that are needed to house and feed it. I have a 15 gallon tank (smallest one they had), the substrate that I use is called cocoa huck and the brand name is exo terra, I have two hiding caves in my emperors cage and I have a waters rock. I feed her crickets using a huge set of tongs. Here's why i'm worried, she never comes out of her rock. She has one rock in which she's dug down into the substrate and she just stays there, day and night and sleeps. I've read that at night if you have the lights on then you'll confuse them and they'll think it's daytime and remain in their caves, so I don't turn my lights on that are around her tank at night at all, but she still just stays there, seems like she's sleeping?

Is this normal? Like, are they really this inactive at all times? Or is there something that I should be doing differently to make my scorpion more active. Forgot to mention that i keep the humidity as close to 60-70% as I can and the temperature as close to 25 degrees celcius as I can.

Thanks for the help. Also if someone could explain molting to me, it'd be great because I have NO idea what it is, when it happens, and what to do/look for when it is happening.

1) Your scorp is happy if it is staying in it's burrow.
2) It will eat when it wants to, they will sometimes fast for several weeks, so don't worry when that happens.
3) Your temps and humidity are fine. The substrate is fine too.
4) A white telson = Juvenile
A Yellow telson = Sub - Adult
A Red/brown telson = Adult

Molting

Emperors will molt 6-7 times within their lifetime. This is where they shed their exoskeleton in order to grow. They can do all of their molts in 1 year or about 4 years. It all depends on the temps and availability of food etc.
If yours are adult, (see above) then yours will not molt. If they are not adults then would need a pic in order to see what instar they are (stage in their life).

A couple of days before and after molting, they will not eat and will be very vulnerable until they harden their new exoskeleton.

Also if you happen to take a pic to find out the instar, know that nothing is ever 100%. Could look like, say, a 4th instar but could actually be a 6th instar that wasnt housed in the right temps so was dwarfed. But that's part of the fun of scorpion keeping, the surprises
