 UK Laws on dangerous species?

Not that im intending to get a death stalker or anything anytime soon lol, but just wondering on UK laws on keeping the more dangerous species? The only ones i can find are for US? Also not sure if this is the right part of forum to put in, didnt see one it would fall under so just put in general, sorry if wrong. Thanks.

Is it just you need a license for them or are there actually some you just cant keep?

you need the liscence to keep any buthid, no matter if it's dangerous or not. Same with anything else that's on the DWA.

Scorpions
Family Buthidae: All species. Buthid scorpions.
Family Hemioscorpiidae:

The species Hemiscorpius lepturus.
Middle-Eastern thin-tailed scorpion.”

Thats all it says on scorpions, its like the shortest section on the list lol

Just the UK. You can find the procedure to get one online somewhere, but it's pretty convoluted.

and it might cost a fortune depending on where you live.. I think there are a few places where it costs more around £2,000. plus all the other crap you have to go through.

Yeah i had a look, its £165.50 per animal you want to keep under the law, and have to renew it every 3 months

I dont know where you found that bit of info mate but its wrong lol
you dont have to pay per animal and it is renewed anually

Just so you know, I had a bit of insider information last night....

In the next 3 years there is going to be a review of the buthidae family and some scorpions are going to be de-classified.

Thank goodness someone has had some chuffin sense!
