Vaejovis confusus questions Empty
PostSubject: Vaejovis confusus questions   Vaejovis confusus questions Empty3/24/2009, 4:49 pm

The addiction continues... now I have 3 Vaejovis confusus thanks to a little bonus that ReptistExotics threw into my order for more Centruroides sculp Smile I need to know a couple of things about these little guys (V. confusus):

1: Substrate - what type of substrate/mix should I provide? They appear to be ground-dwellers, so I plan on providing approx 3" of depth of whatever so they can dig around.

2: Temp & Humidity - I am assuming that they are a desert species, so 75-90 degrees with 20-40% humidity... but let me know what you all recommend.

Thanks!

sounds good. I use a mix of peat and sand. Everything else is pretty right.

Well, there seems to be some serious lovin going on because 2 of the 3 were mating when I got home this evening. Too bad you don't live in the States or I'd reserve some babies for you.

Cheers -

Are these guys communal to any extent? Also would a sand/excavator clay substrate be good, or do they need they bit of moisture from soil/peat/coco fiber?

Thanks
