| Hey guys I was just wondering if there is a setup or enclosure I could have that would be able to show off my A. bicolor better without causing him or her too much stress. He tends to want to hide under everything and anything and I can never see him. Same with my australis. Thank you! | |

| Its the nature of the beast. They will be stressed if they cannot hide during the day. Some individuals will come out and bask under the heat lamp but most just hide
Not sure if there is some sort of window you could make to view into their hide during the day.

+1 You can always try a more clinical lab setup with just sand and a hide. This way you will always know where the scorp is.

| If you give him some ambient light and heat during the day, then turn off the lamp when it gets dark, you should be able to see him at dusk to about 1 hour after the sun goes down. I see mine almost every night. | |

| Juvs tend to be more active than adults. You can always lure him out by placing a heat mat away from the hide. I see mine basking | |

| I managed to coax my B. leptochelys out a little bit more by using the flexwatt instead of the heat lamp. It took her a week and a half or so to finally start coming out, but I've seen her every night for the past few days. If you are using a heat lamp, you may try to do the same. Or, as they said, place a heat mat on a wall away from the hide. My A. australis is now my most reclusive. I've heard the bicolors aren't QUITE as reclusive, though, so maybe the heat strip instead of lamp trick might work. | |

i see some of mine out here and there throughout the night. i guess i should expect them to turn into pet holes in a few months honestly i don't mind if they don't come out much. i know what's in there. if someone wants to see it every now and then, i simply lift up the hide. they are left without being bothered 95% of the time (with the 5% being for weekly mistings and feedings)

| Just a word of warning brandon, I just had one of mine molt 2 nights ago and this morning he was dead and stiff almost dehydrated looking. He was at room temp and here in calif we've been at mid 70's with some rain so you might want to drop a tiny bit of water in there. Not sure what happened to this one. | |
