Sexing my Emperor

Hey, trying to sex my Emperor. I don't know if this is a clear enough picture, but I was having trouble holding him (her?) still, holding my phone still, focusing, and getting good lighting with just two hands. If it's not good enough I can try again later.

I want to say male, but it's too blurry. So I can't be sure.

It’s relatively easy to sex these animals.
First of all, males are more slender in build and generally a bit smaller than females. If only a single emperor is present, take a look at the pectines and the genital operculum. The pectines of a males are larger and have 14 to 17 teeth. The pectines of females will have 14 to 16 teeth. Because the pectine tooth count of males and females overlap in numbers, a pectine count won’t do any good for sexing purposes.
The most accurate method to determine sex is by looking at the genital opperculum; the operculum of the male is oval and that of the female more heart-shaped. Take a look at the pictures below to see the differences.

Keep in mind tho there always slender females;)

Try again later. Put your emp in a critter keeper or clear glass bowl. Put a soft towel on top of it and hold it snug enough that it can't run away. Turn it upside down and take your time getting a clear pic. Keep in mind a clear pic is WAY better then a close one. The part we need to see is close to a quarter inch in size (usually smaller) but we can see what need to without macro photography.

your scorpion looks kinda like a male but its too blury to be 4 sure.

Looks female to me but as others have said could do with a clearer pic

I would also have guessed female.
