That's right! MEEE!!!
It's soo great! With Klaus's natural habitat making it so hard to see him, I'm so glad to have a black light! Now if I want to know if he's out, I just flip it on and shine it into the cage! He turns the color of a highlighter, it's amazing!!!
(see here for my intro/habitat pics:http://www.scorpion-forum.com/t9774-scorpion-newbie-here-little-help-please)
The pics don't do it justice, but this is one I took!
Okay, so from what I've observed under the black light in my teeth and hermit crab habitat, calcium glows in the dark under the blacklight. So here's what I REALLY want to do:
I'm going to set up a video camera on a tripod in front of my scorpion habitat, turn the blacklight on overtop of the cage, and dust some crickets in calcium and put them in the cage. If my hypothesis is correct, Klaus the scorpion and the calcium-dusted crickets should glow in the dark under the blacklight, and then you could see a scorpion catch and eat a cricket under the blacklight and it would be very clear to see with them glowing.
what do you think????
Thanks!!!!
