Swammerdami pics and molts

Here are some pics of a few different swammerdamis I have. In the past 2 months 4 of them have molted and more are in premolt. I will post pics of the others when they do molt. Sorry I am no photographer and my camera is not the best.

First 3 pics is of one that molted last night.


















This one is still darkening and hardening up.

Wow, very nice pictures, thanks for sharing, those chela are very very well, I would call them "onwijs stoer", roughly translated it would mean, really tough looking;)

Congrats, enjoy the coloration before they harden up.

It's good to see people having success with this species. With any luck we'll have a good population established in the states in the near (ish) future.

Thanks all. For the first time I will be pairing up a few confirmed males and females here real soon. With a little luck hopefully it will be successful. I will take pics or record what takes place and post it.

Very nice! I love these species. I have a female and am looking for more but haven't had any luck so far getting some more.

Is there a name for that color morph in picture 4? Because the colors really do stand out.

If there is I do not know. Maybe some of the more experienced can chime in. I do agree though its coloration is different. I have 2 males and 2 females that have this same coloration. 1 male and 2 females with this coloration are in premolt. We will see a few weeks or so after they molt if they keep the same coloration or not. I will post new pics of them then to compare. It would be nice if they did.

Home opener tomorrow at busch. Calling for storms though. Hopefully they will get the game in and win it.

Yeah I hope so too. Opening day is such a tradition here I hope it dosen't get ruined. Either way I'm looking forward to seeing the birds at hope.

Today I noticed one of them that molted this past febuary has kept its same coloration. I will take pics and post them soon to compare color before and after molt.

My bad...I don't know what I was thinking when I was looking at this one the other day. I went to take pics of it today and noticed its number I wrote on the outside of its home and it was not one of the 4 with the unusual coloration. Sorry about that. 1 male and 2 females are in still in premolt like before.

Ok well they are still awesome!
